Energy Efficiency Law

The most important element in guaranteeing longterm energy supply on a national and european level is to increase and strengthen energy efficiency. The European Union therefore developed a regulatory framework including multiple instruments.

With the new EEffG, the EU Energy Efficiency Directive (2012/27/EU) has been implemented. Accordingly, the EU Energy Efficiency Directive (2012/27/EU) also addresses a commitment system for energy suppliers and energy-using companies.

The Energy Efficiency Law is a new and sophisticated field, which is especially covered by our legal practices. Within the context of the Austrian Federal Bar Association’s comment (which was elaborated by Dr. Eduard Wallnöfer) towards the EEffG, we conducted a wide-ranging analysis concerning the contents of the legal regulations.

Our law office works closely together with a pool of specialists to have a greater insight into this interdisciplinary legal matter, legally and technically.

Under these conditions we can provide a competent and reliable consultancy for SMEs, large enterprises and also for energy suppliers.  In this respect our guidline is “the most environmentally-friendly energy of all is the one which is not consumed”.
